I’ve an exterior disk that is APFS-encrypted which out of the blue will not mount/unlock:

Passphrase incorrect or consumer doesn't exist
I can also’t modify the APFS container from Disk Utility so as to add any new volumes.
I assumed perhaps corruption had led to my password now not unlocking the recordsdata, however I downloaded DiskDrill, equipped it with my password and let it scan for recordsdata and it really discovered them!
I am questioning if meaning the partition desk is tousled or one thing, as a result of clearly the passphrase continues to be decrypting the recordsdata. I haven’t got sufficient disk area readily available to get well these recordsdata and re-create the APFS quantity proper now – any assist could be appreciated. I’ve tried to interpret these hex dumps utilizing GPT header and desk lookup data however I am not making a lot progress.
