Google Messages bug brings again outdated textual content discipline design

With the most recent beta model of Google Messages, some customers are seeing the outdated textual content discipline by chance return.

This one-line design begins with the ‘plus’ menu and is adopted by the gallery/digicam, whereas Magic Compose seems on suitable units. The “Textual content or RCS message” discipline homes the picker for Emoji, GIFs, Stickers, and Photomoji, in addition to the audio recorder.

Upon getting into textual content into the sphere, the three actions on the left disappear and are changed by a chevron that brings again the primary two shortcuts.

That textual content discipline is fairly slender given these three actions — it appears to be like superb with two, however does benefit from being right-aligned and subsequently matches the aspect the place your despatched messages seem.

Some beta customers are seeing this design return with model 20241008_00_RC00 of Google Messages. That replace rolled out Thursday morning. Of two units we checked at present, it’s solely showing on one.

That is more than likely a bug as Google appears to be like dedicated to the present left-aligned design. That look was finalized after a two-line variant with a shortcuts bar was pulled after person complaints.
