As per the teaser video, the smart door handle features a sleek bar that is integrated into the body panel, unlike the conventional door handle.
The smart door handlebar gets a sensor on it. It is claimed that when the door handle it is touched or the car is unlocked, the door handle automatically pops out. Similarly, the bar goes back when locked.
Mahindra claims this to be the first-in-class feature in the country.
Prior to smart door handle feature, XUV700 also offers the segment’s largest skyroof measuring 1360 mm in length and 870 mm in width and auto booster headlamps which activates as soon as the XUV700 surpasses the speed limit of 80kmph in the dark.
Mahindra XUV700 is scheduled to be launched in India in 2021. XUV700 is likely to lock horns with other three-row SUV rivals like Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, and MG Hector Plus.
