I have been attempting to replace from Public Beta 8 to RC for the final couple of days, and it at all times fails with one of many following errors:
Some days it reveals the primary error, some days the second.
Upon inspecting the system logs, I discovered that each time I attempt to replace it, a file /System/Volumes/Replace/restore.log is created, and that file incorporates the next error:
